Kim Brown is running for Judge of the 254th Family District Court in Dallas County, Texas. She is an experienced attorney and has practiced for over 24 years in diverse areas of law. Family law has been one of the dominant areas of law in her practice for over 20 years. She currently practices as principal attorney in her own successful private law practice- Kimberly C. Brown, PC. Kim Brown has a reputation for being a smart, meticulous and knowledgeable attorney. She is also a certified mediator in family and civil law. Kim Brown has previously served as visiting judge in Dallas County Courts. She is ready to serve Dallas County as Judge of the 254th Family District Court.
Kim Brown was born and raised in Dallas. Her father is a retired Dallas Police Officer and her mother is a retired registered nurse. Her parents raised their family in the Oak Cliff area. Kim Brown entered Spelman College with a scholarship and graduated in 1990 with a B.A. in Political Science. She then was admitted to the University of Texas School of Law with a scholarship and graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1993. She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and J.L. Turner Legal Society. Kim Brown is also a board member with Dallas Chapter Jack and Jill; and PTSA President at her daughter’s high school Irma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School. She and her family attend Greenville Avenue Church of Christ.
